Amaryl Glimepiride
Amaryl glimepiride is often prescribed by physicians to type 2 diabetics. It is well known for helping to control glucose levels in the blood by stimulating the pancreas into releasing the insulin that the body needs.
This medication is intended to be taken with your first meal of the day. It's use should be closely monitored and should reflect the exact recommendations of your physician.
Certain side effects can accompany this medicine. They can include an upset stomach and nausea. Even so, the benefits that can be derived from taking this medicine far outweigh the side effects that you might encounter. Although it is quite possible that you might not experience any adverse reaction from its use, if you happen to you should notify your doctor.
It is also important that you be familiar with the symptoms of both hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia. This is due to the fact that taking this medication also has the ability to create these conditions. If either of these episodes occur, you should treat them in the same fashion as your would normally treat low or high blood sugar. You will also want to let your doctor know what has occurred.
Amaryl glimepiride may also cause an adverse reaction when taken with certain other medications. Make sure to give your doctor a list of any other medicines that you are currently taking so that they can be checked.
While taking this medication it is important that you follow a few simple rules. For mothers who are breast feeding, you will need to stop taking this medicine as it can pass through the mother's milk to the infant. Also, prolonged exposure to the sun should also be restricted as these medicine can make your skin much more sensitive to sunlight.
