Glucosamine Kills Pancreatic Cells and Increases Diabetes Risk
The nutritional supplement glucosamine in high doses or long term use because the pancreatic cells to die and greatly increase the risk of diabetes. Glucosamine is used for bone and joint health. Reports claim it strengths bones and helps joints remain flexible through out the aging process or after an injury.
Clinical Test Results
Professor Frederic Picard and his team conducted In vitro tests they increased the normal recommended dosage of glucosamine by five to ten times higher than the recommended amount of 1500 mg/day. Glucosamine at those levels triggered a mechanism in the body that is designed to lower high blood sugar level naturally causing pancreatic cells to die.
How Glucosamine Works
The glucosamine target users are people over 50 who have started to experience joint pain and develop osteoporosis of the bones. Unfortunately, if people are in pain they will often increase the dosage way beyond the recommended amount in hopes of it being beneficial.

That is not the case it usually does not make the pain go away. Instead, looking at the newest study it can instead kill the pancreatic cells and the individual is at a higher risk of developing diabetes.
