Peanut-Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

li1/4 cup Vegetable shortening/li
li2 tbsp Peanut butter/li
li1/2 cup Sugar/li
li1/2 cup Brown sugar, firmly packed/li
li1 Egg/li
li1 tsp Vanilla/li
li1 3/4 cup Flour, all-purpose, sifted/li
li1/2 tsp Baking soda/li
li1/2 cup Pecans, chopped/li
li1 package Chocolate pieces, semisweet/li

liPreheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix butter, shortening, and peanut butter until soft and fluffy./li
liStir in sugars, egg, and vanilla; stir in dry ingredients; fold in pecans and chocolate pieces./li
liDrop by teaspoons on ungreased cookie sheets about 2" apart. Bake in a preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until edges of cookies are lightly browned. Cool cookies for 5 minutes on cookie sheet before removing them and cooling them on a rack./li
